Wow, just wow
That's how I'd describe the past year. When I think back to this day last year, I had just started my business, and I was nervous—like first day back at school nervous. But along with that nervousness came excitement—excitement for a new path, a new journey, and the chance to create something meaningful. Starting Treat Your Staff was something I had thought about for months, carefully weighing the pros and cons. And you know what? At some point, you just have to ask yourself, “How hard can it be?” You decide to trust yourself and take the leap.
I’ve always been an adventurer, a wanderer, and a creative soul
hat spirit is what brought me here to London, where my dream started to take shape. At the beginning of last year, I had a stable job as an internal events manager. My role was to make sure people enjoyed their time at work and felt valued. I had a structured routine and what I thought was a secure job—until I got laid off. It shook me. It felt like one door closed abruptly, but as an optimist, I saw another door open—leading to the unknown. I had a choice: find another job and stay comfortable, or finally take the leap into something I had dreamed about for so long.
That dream was to change people’s lives for the better. To transform workplaces from places of stress to places where people are excited to show up. To create environments where people can connect, grow, and thrive while fulfilling their job roles. So, I took the leap and started Treat Your Staff.
The past year has been full of opportunities that I could have only dreamed of
I’ve worked on amazing projects and collaborated with incredible people. I’ve helped transform businesses and shown people that workplaces can be fun, engaging, and meaningful. I’ve seen firsthand the impact that prioritizing wellness can have on employee morale and productivity. And above all, I’ve learned so much—about myself, about business, and about the power of taking a chance.
Standing at my birthday party this year, surrounded by colleagues, friends, and partners, I felt an overwhelming sense of happiness and fulfillment. Not only did I make it through the first year of business, but I also managed to make a positive impact on people’s lives. That feeling—knowing that I’ve made a difference—is what keeps me motivated to keep pushing forward, dreaming bigger, and striving for more.
This year, we co-hosted the Treat Your Staff 1st Birthday Party alongside PA Life Magazine’s Christmas Party & Awards at MAROTO Restaurant. The PA Life Star Awards celebrated the dedication of PAs, EAs, VAs, and Office Managers, recognizing the incredible work they do every day to support their teams and keep workplaces thriving.
Looking ahead
Looking ahead, I feel more motivated than ever to keep making a difference in the workplace wellness space. This past year was just the beginning—the foundation for what’s to come. I’m excited for the projects, partnerships, and opportunities that lie ahead, and I’m committed to helping even more businesses transform into places where people truly want to be.
To anyone reading this who’s thinking of taking that leap—do it. Trust yourself, take the chance, and create something that matters. Here’s to the future, to growing stronger, and to making an even greater impact.
